You no longer need to to be an astronaut just to save the universe. You can now visit the moon with NASA's newest project -- Moonbase Alpha

Being in the verge of ending the ’s moon-return programs by Congress, the space agency decided to create a legacy for future lunar explorers. Starting July 6, will let you save the day – in 3D. So take on your moon suit and let the game begin!

With NASA’s multi-player game, gamers will assume the role of a moon exploration team member in a lunar settlement. Compare to a typical first person video game missions, players should get use to walking on the moon. The game, that is only supposed to take 20 minutes, includes VOIP chat, text chat, and cool 3D graphics. You can watch the Moonbase game trailer to see how awesome the graphics are!

Moonbase Alpha was built by the NASA Learning Technologies division to prove that the agency can also make high-quality video games that will inspire kids. Also, the game can be used for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education programs in schools.
