Angry Birds: from iPhone Game to Plush Toys

Many sans-specific game characters and iPhone games have gone from virtual to hug-able by taking the route to the toy store. If they can do it, why not Rovio's Angry Birds?
Rovio, the Finnish creator of the hit iPhone and iPad Game ‘Angry Birds,’ is rolling out some franchising deals crossing over other platforms. While there’s no definite news about the TV and movie part, Rovio representative, Ville Heijari, confirmed that the company will be manufacturing Angry Birds toys in stuffed form. Aside from moving straight from iPhone to plush toys, the game launched on the Palm platform today and plans to conquer Android later this month. Angry Birds has sold over 6.5 million units, with the free app being downloaded 11 million times. It’s iPad app has reported more than $ 200,000 in sales. Now that a flock of birds are done chasing evil pigs, are you ready to make it a collector’s item?
