Facebook continues its online domination by acquiring a wide array of patents on social media, getting almost everything covered, from the news feed to photo tagging, to your friends list and to the degree of your connections to the people in your network.

The 500-million-populated accelerates even further from the rest of its contemporaries, as it obtains 18 key patents related to social media.
