PDF Ruling to Overturn Prop 8 Spreads on Scribd

Prop 8 Ruling has was uploaded on Scribd and the world wide web turned upside down.
Judge of Federal Society Vaughn Walker nullify California’s Proposition 8 which denies marriage to same-sex partners. Afterward, a PDF file of the Judge appeared on the famed document sharing Scribd. As expected, the file spread all through out the Internet like a viral disease.
A Scribd user, “goodasyou” uploaded a PDF entitled “Prop 8 Ruling FINAL”. According to Mashable.com, they learned about the issue when an email came to them. The email was from Scribd Senior Communications Officer Michelle Laird saying that the document was receiving a thousand views per second.
Scribd CEO Trip Adler was quoted by GigaOM saying that his company considers a document viral once it reach 100,000 views in 24 hours and Prop 8 reached the record of 100,000 views in 24 minutes. It was really a phenomena.
Along with Twitter and Facebook, Scribd also has its own way for people to follow interesting documents and seeing a Facebook-like news feed.
In addition to this, Scribd had released a new feature which allows its users to share things on their mobile devices. The propagation had been easier and sharing files was easy from then on.
