Porsche : 918 Spyder Approved

Porsche approves the release of 918 Spyder concept into a series production model. The 918 Spyder exudes nothing but luxury.
Luxurious and expensive: two words that best describe Porsche. As expected, the car company had approved the 918 Spyder concept into a series production model. The 918 was a debut concept at this year’s Geneva Motor show with a whoopin plug-in hybrid powertrain claimed to provide 78 miles per gallon.
It uses a 500-horsepower V8 along with a pair of electric motors with 109 hp each and a lithium ion battery that can provide 16 miles of emissions-free driving from grid energy. The powertrain wasn’t expected to be changed much for the production and Porsche hasn’t even said when will 918 descend from heaven. There are speculative opinions on how much will it cost. Well, Luxurious as it may seem but they are thinking it will cost up to €500,000 or $650,000 USD, although if it would come from the U.S. It is still elgible for federal tax credit. Chevrolet Volt will look junk and cheap.
