YouTube's Life in a Day project received a whooping 80,000 entries. Check out the official gallery put up by Ridley Scott and his team.

has already launched an official gallery that shows off 80,000 submissions it has received as a part of its Life in a Day project.

The gallery can be viewed on a 3D sphere. These submissions were categorized by their locations, time of the day, mood type of place where it was shot plus a lot more.

The Life in a Day project started last July by movie producer Ridley Scott. He produced movies like Blade Runner and Gladiator. The goal of the project is for YouTube users to film a day in their precious lives and upload it on YouTube. There were around 80,000 entries.

YouTube says that the film editor and director Kevin Macdonald and the rest of his team will be adding up more to the gallery after they’ve sorted out videos.

Macdonald is going to team up with Joe Walker and a research team to review the footages as it is edited for the final cut. The final film will be featured as a length project produced by Ridley Scott and will debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

The project is similar to the Recording Academy which Grammy.com used this year. If you were one of the 80,000 who sent a video or participated in this project, please share your thoughts.
