Thinking Apple would not allow pirated applications, it shocked us that the company permitted this torrent app. But its name deceived even Apple.

If you ask me aboyt my ultimate Christmas wish besides having the best gadgets in the planet, , it would be for my device.

An application called has appear in the Apple Store for , iPod and today despite the company’s refusal to approve BitTorrent.

The app’s intention is to be a tool in managing ImageShack’s download service

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing system that shares loads of large files between pools of users. It’s often used for legit services such as ImageShack but it also became the main topic interms of piracy.

Apple always block applications that may cause piracy or other illegal activities. But surely, there is a possible explanation why IS Drive emerged from the Store.

Like when Apple allowed Google Voice. Apple might not realized that IS Drive is a BitTorrent app. IS Drive’s developer informed TorrentFreak, “I always had the thought that if I didn’t call the app a ‘torrent client,’ Apple would probably let it through the review process.” The app doesn’t use the words “torrent” or “BitTorrent” at all, and it’s simply a download manager. There’s no torrenting on the iPhone, or iPad running the app.”

IS Drive is out and costs $4.99 in the App Store while ImageShack sharing comes with monthly fees.
