Firefox 4 Beta Now in Mobiles Phones

Many have waited for this one. Good news Mozilla fans! The mobile version of Firefox 4 Beta is here. It runs on Android and Nokia phones. Sad to say, iPhone is excluded.

is can be defined as the browser of the world. And now, not just to your PCs and laptop but to your beloved phones as well. We’ve waited for this for so long and now, our wish was finally granted.

Known before as “Fennec”, Mozilla’s mobile version is simply called Firefox. The roll out is available for N900 users and any device under the 2.0 commonly known as Eclair. Supported devices includes , 2, , Desire, Evo, S and more.

Sorry iPhone people, but you have to stick with your old Firefox Home app in the App Store. Mozilla however, has no plans to work on BlackBerry as of the moment.

This mobile browser is “built on the same technology platform as for desktop computers, just optimized for browsing on a mobile device.” according to Mozilla. The project is still in beta, updates for the final version is on its way.
