Microsoft Unveils the Windows Phone 7 Family

At long last! Microsoft has brought its nine new Windows Phone 7 handsets into the spotlight. Get your pockets ready, because all of them will hit the market for the holidays.

At the World Mobile Congress early this year, had officially slid the covers off the Windows Phone 7. But it is the operating system that has become the center for many people’s attention. Nevertheless, has been generous enough to present nine new Windows Phone 7 yesterday. The handsets are slated to be available this holiday taking the European, North America and Asia Pacific shelves. The specifications of the new chic mobile phones from are posted below.


Samsung Focus brings state-of the art entertainment into your life with its 4-inch super AMOLED display, 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 processor and 5mp camera. The 110g Samsung Focus will land on AT&T in the US.


Get your things done fast with LG Quantum’s vertical QWERTY keypad, 5mp camera, 1 GHZ Snapdragon processor and the entire Office Mobile suite. LG Quantum’s network provider will be AT&T in the US and Telstra in Australia.

3. HTC Surround

The HTC Surround provides an immerse multimedia experience with its 16GB internal storage, slide out speakers, 3.8-inch display, and 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 processor. AT&T will be HTC Surround’s network provider.


HTC HD7 seamlessly brings work, play and family together with its 4.3-inch display, where you can enjoy Netflix, T-Mobile TV and Slacker Radio. It has a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 processor and 5mp camera with dual LED flash. It will land in T-Mobile in the US, O2 in UK and Germany, MoviStar in Spain, and SingTel in Singapore.


The Dell Venue Pro is a XBox Live and Zune multimedia capable handset that will land on T-Mobile network. It has a vertical QWERTY Keyboard, 4.1-inch display, a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 processor and a 5mp camera with autofocus.


The 130g HTC 7 Mozart will have Orange (France and UK), Deutsche Telekom and Telstra (Australia) as its network providers. It has a 3.7-inch touchscreen with pinch-to-zoom capabilities, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8250 processor, 8GB internal storage, and an eight megapixel colored camera with autofocus and Xenon flash


The much heavier HTC 7 Mozart has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, slide-out keyboard, 1GHz processor, 8GB internal memory, and a 5mp camera with autofocus and flash. HTC 7 Mozart will land on Sprint Nextel.


Just like the Pro, HTC 7 Trophy has a 8MB internal memory and 5mp camera with autofocus and flash. And while the Pro’s processor is un-named, the Trophy carries a 1Ghz Qualcomm MSM8250 processor and 3.8-inch touchscreen. SFR (France) and Vodafone (Australia, Germany, Spain and UK) will serve as Trophy’s data carrier.


The LG Optimus 7 sports a 3.8-inch WVGA LCD display, with 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 16GB on-board memory and 5mp camera. It comes with a Play To feature and a DNLA-based sharing app. The Optimus 7 will land on Telus in Canada; América Móvil in Mexico; MoviStar in Spain; Vodafone in Germany, Italy, Spain and UK; and SingTel in Singapore.
