The Motorola Flipout reminds us of the Nokia Twist and a little of the Motorola Charm with its shape and how Android fits inside the tiny phone. And Motorola Flipout is definitely hitting the glass this month from AT&T.

announced last Tuesday that will be coming to the US via . The tiny, square phone swivels open to reveal a QWERTY keyboard, and it seems odd to see the Android on such a small screen. The Motorola Flipout is powered by Android 2.1, has enhanced MotoBlur interface, a 3 megapixel camera with Kodak Perfect Touch technology, WiFi, GPS, 3G and Motorola’s CrystalTalk. It is 2.63 x 2.63 x 0.67 in dimension and has a very usable keyboard despite its size.

The Motorola Flipout is slated to target the young, fashionable crowd with their interchangeable battery covers. It comes with Dark Sapphire and Saffron color covers, and will be available on October 17 for $79.99 following a two-year contract.
