Lamebook Files a Lawsuit Against Facebook

Lamebook, a parody blog of Facebook, sues the favorite social network in response of the litigation made by Facebook.

The parody blog was created in 2009 by graphic designers Jonathan Standefer and Matthew Genitempo. The website encourage people to submit funny photos, wallposts and status updates from various profiles.

mentioned that Facebook has communicated their move to take legal action over trademark infringement. Lawyers from Facebook started sending the notice last March and asked to change their theme and user-interface.

On Lamebook’s defense, the site claimed that, “Lamebook’s rationale is that it’s a very obvious parody and hence is protected by the First Amendment.”
