Brando’s SATA HDD Dock Jumps into USB 3.0

It's been almost a year since Brando released its last SATA HDD dock with almost no trace or publicity that another one will come around soon and that made us worry a little. But now they're back.

Priced at a whopping $140, Brando’s finally gave in to the trend as they unveiled the new Docks that’s ready, equipped with three SuperSpeed USB ports at the back and an opening at the top which allows users to plug in 2.5 or 3.5 inched SATA hard drives into it.

It’s an amazing tool for backing up, cloning, and transferring files with a theoretical data transfer speed of 5.0 GB per second. Ten times way faster than the speed of USB 2.0. The price is an overkill, but if speed is what you want, then speed is what’ll you get with this piece of metal.

Sharkoo, Brando’s closest competition, already offered the USB 3.0 docks last 2009, although 3.0 was a little irrelevant and unnecessary until this year.

Brando is a worldwide online store dedicated to providing its customers with top of the line USB peripherals, parts, accessories, and other interesting USB stuff out there.
