Facebook Rolls Out Another Mobile Privacy Setting

Facebook's Privacy settings has been an long-discussed issue since the social network started. Some issues were resolved but some are not. Now, Facebook rolls out another security setting to keep the information about users private.

Facebook will pay more attention to privacy now, after their controversial profiles feature. Their first stop —Mobile Privacy.

According to a blog post by Facebook’s product manager, Rose Yao, mobile users will now be given the ability to view details about the information they shared on the web.

Users on the go can adjust their settings without the worries The Apps and Websites section of a user’s privacy settings will now be updated with a list of apps being used. Facebook users will now know when these applications were last accessed.

This feature also allows the possibility to tweak other settings, including the access to a user’s basic profile information, photos and videos, and friends’ information. To see this privacy controls on a mobile device, visit m.facebook.com/privacy, or just go to the Settings page and click on the “change” link next to “Privacy Settings.”

These new mobile privacy options are added extensions on the Facebook dashboard introduced last October. It provides users with information about the applications that gained their authorization and the data these apps currently use.
