Foursquare: Now with Photos and Comments

Foursquare has added two heavily requested features to its popular iPhone app that should make the service significantly more social: Photos and Comments. Already got it on your iPhone?
Finally, Foursquare has added the Photos and Comments features on its application for iPhone. The Photos enable Foursquare users to attach photos to checkins, tips and venues, while Comments allow them to state an opinion to their friend’s activities. These social updates will be enmeshed and included on the user’s Foursquare activity and history page.
As a start, a user will be prompted to add one photo as he or she checks in. After that, he or she can add more images, and it will be added to the checkin detail page wherein comment activity also happens. Foursquare hopes that these features will help transform the way people think about the service and their location-based activity.
Soon, users will have the ability to export photos to Facebook and Flickr, track comments better, and access old photos more easily. More over, fans using Foodspotting, Instagram and Picplz can also share their images with Foursquare. Android users can expect the Photos and Comments features this week, while BlackBerry owners will have their own compatible version by January 2011.
