A new photo of the BlackBerry Dakota was leaked today. Though it’s like a BlackBerry Magnum prototype, its trackpad and specification bumps made the difference. The BlackBerry Dakota houses a 2.8-inch capacitative touchscreen with VGA resolution of 640×480 pixels, a full QWERTY keyboard, five-megapixel camera with flash and HD video recording capabilities, four GB internal storage, and 768MB RAM. BlackBerry Dakota’s processor is yet to be known.
In addition to this, the BlackBerry Dakota also features 3G mobile hotspot, NFC connectivity, Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth and MicroUSB port. It will run on the new BlackBerry 6.1 that supports Magnetometer, Digital Compass APIs, OpenGL-ES 2.0, event-base geo-location APIs and many more. As for the price and release date, there are no updates yet. But who knows? Maybe RIM will shed some light on the BlackBerry Dakota on WMC 2011.
