Foursquare Welcomes Brands Without Store-front

With Foursquare for Business, “brands that are not tied to a specific physical location” can now use Foursquare’s Pages and Custom Badges in their social media marketing mix.

Until last week, was designed for brick-and-mortar businesses. But with their latest page, brands that do not have physical location can now use the network’s and . Foursquare is working with brands that has no store-front to create customer badges and other campaigns. With the help of paid sponsorship, users can unlock a custom badge related to a brand after checking-in at specific location.

In addition to this, Foursquare is allowing businesses without retail location to create a page on their site. Unfortunately, there is no available web-based tool for this feature yet. As of the moment, brands must complete and submit a form to Foursquare. The location-based social network noted on its website that it could take as long as two weeks for a page to be completed
