Infinity Blade makes us rethink what an iPhone is capable of when it comes to gaming as it shows off stunning graphics that rival even the best a legitimate handheld console can offer.

You play the role of a warrior who is set to free the lands from the tyranny of the evil God King. However, as you face the tyrant at the beginning of the game, you are easily dispatched off the face of existence as the God King kills you immediately. Fear not as your adventure has only begun. 20 years later, you now assume the role as the son of the fallen warrior so you can fulfill the unfinished task. And if that doesn’t work, then you still got an infinite number of chances to do so as you play warriors from generation to generation.

That’s pretty much the idea behind the hit, . As you make your way from one warrior to the next, you pick up experiences, weapons, and armors carrying over the decades that allow you to become tougher and wiser as you face the God King over and over until you finally vanquish him. The concept is pretty much engaging as it is, however the excitement mellows down as you play almost the same thing repetitively until you kill the last boss. But on the bright side, enemies, which include trolls, assassins and warriors, grow tougher every generation, so there’s definitely the challenge there.

Other the gameplay and storyline, what really got to most gamers is the stunning visuals and fluidity of character movements. For a small piece of plastic we call an iPhone, who would’ve thought that we’d get something like this? Thanks to the , Infinity Blade’s graphics are far beyond comprehension and can even rival the graphics of the Sony PSP and the Nintendo DS (especially the Nintendo DS).

Customization of equipment is also what sets this video game apart from the rest of the iPhone games available today, as each generation of enemies drop pretty sweet gear that’ll make you even stronger.

Overall, Infinity Blade is too good to pass for iPhone users out there as the game plus the amazing graphics will keep us glued to our touch screens. The game will also make us rethink what an iPhone is capable of generating as far as the video game industry is concerned. The game may very well have fortified the platform as a dangerous competitor in the handheld market.
