Cave Story 3D, on its Way to 3DS

This summer is going to be hotter as Daisuke Amaya's Cave Story 3D is being reconstructed for 3DS. Modern characters and environments are on its way!
The publisher of Disgaea, NIS America, announced yesterday that Daisuke Amaya’s Cave Story will hit the Nintendo 3DS this summer. Back in 2004, the Cave Story appeared on the indie scene as a freeware PC game developed by Daisuke Amaya. It immediately gained following due to its Metroid-style gameplay and retro graphics. In 2010, the Cave Story was ported to WiiWare and DSiWare.
However, the Cave Story 3D is no longer a straight port. Game developer, Daisuke Amaya, is rebuilding the game from scratch, with all the characters and environment being remodeled to look modern. Though Daisuke Amaya is not yet ready to divulge any details about the Cave Story 3D, new contents are already being added to give more depth to the game.
Get ready for summer, because this new game is going to be for the win!
