LG Unveils Optimus 3D at MWC 2011

LG officially revealed its new offering at MWC 2011 yesterday -- the LG Optimus 3D. Are you ready to view 3D contents without the glasses?

officially unveiled the at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain yesterday. The new device runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and has a pre-installed YouTube 3D app for streaming and uploading 3D content on the video-sharing site. In addition to that, the LG Optimus 3D can be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread as soon as the update rolls out.

The 4.3-inch WVGA 800 x 480 touchscreen display supports glass-free 3D, while the dual-lens camera enables users to record 720p HD content in 3D. The recorded 3D videos can be shared using YouTube 3D app or via HDMI 1.4 port. LG has incorporated a hot key so that users can quickly access 3D cameras, Games & Apps, YouTube 3D App, and 3D Guide. The LG Optimus 3D is expected to hit the European market by second quarter of this year.
