Windows 7 SP 1 is coming via Windows Update and Microsoft Download Center on February 22. More tweaks and updates are on the move!

Microsoft’s Windows Communication Manager, Brandon LeBlanc, announced on the Windows Team Blog that the will be mass available on February 22. The update will be available at Microsoft’s Download Center and Windows Update.

The standalone service pack weights at about 500MB for a 64-bit OS version, and includes all previous updates. However, the download can be smaller using the Windows Update, as the rest of the Windows 7 SP 1 only includes minor tweaks.

The most notable fix of Windows 7 SP 1 is its improved HDMI audio, as some users reported that HDMI audio devices can be lost after system reboots. A tweak was also made in a certain behavior of the operating system, such as the way it restores previous folders at log-on.
