Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga and Other Stars Raising Money to Aid Japan

Being a star is not just about the glam, the glitter and the fame. It's an instrument to help others too.

This past week, Japan was unfortunately crashed by a disaster. Many lives were taken by the earthquake and the tsunami. To help aid in Japan’s quick recovery, Hollywood stars put together their own ways to fund-raise for the country.

Young star , and Rihanna are donating songs to a charity album for the benefit of the victims of the tsunami and earthquake. , on the other hand, has designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet for the tragedy, while   and are interested to take part in the project. The album will be under the production of Universal Records. The company plans to release the album digitally by the end of the week, and hopes to send funds as soon as possible to .

, meanwhile, made a $1 million donation to the American Red Cross to help the people of Japan. While singer, , donated $1 million to “Save the Children’s -Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund.”

“I’ve been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture,” Gwen, 41, said. “The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.”

Gwen will also launch an online charity auction on No Doubt’s website, where fans can bid on chance to meet her in person at a charity event in L.A.
