Like father, like daughter. Jack Nicholson's daughter, Lorraine, is making her big screen debut in Soul Surfer.
Even at a young age of 20, Lorraine Nicholson is already following the footsteps of his famous dad — Jack Nicholson. Her latest gig is portraying the role of Alana Blanchard in Soul Surfer. Alana Blanchard is the best friend of Bethany Hamilton, a young woman who continues to reach her wave riding dreams after losing her arm from a shark attack.
According to Lorraine Nicholson, she got the role after a lengthy audition process. After netting the role, she also had a tad amount of preparation. Her father did give her some advice before she films the project. And despite starring in a film that features shark attack, Lorraine Nicholson wasn’t worried when she jumped in the Hawaiian surf for training.
Soul Surfer is a movie based on the life of the Hawaiian surfer, Bethany Hamilton. The movie is set for an April 8 release, and will star AnnaSophia Robb as the lead role, Helen Hunt, Carrie Underwood and Dennis Quaid.
