Rebecca Black’s Friday Hits 2 Million Downloads on iTunes

Rebecca gives "Black Friday" another meaning worthy of the last-song-syndrome.
She maybe a little not so cool, and the lyrics of her song maybe a little too non-sense. But hey, she’s an instant celebrity with 36,539,596 views on YouTube. Sorry Bieber, you’re no longer the star. Do we need to guess who are we talking about? Of course! The talk of the town, Rebecca Black
Rebecca’s “Friday” single which turned viral last week has reached 2 million downloads on iTunes. What do you say Bieber? Most probably, the girl must be a filthy millionaire by now. According to Forbes.com:
Since hitting the online music store last Monday, “Friday” has amassed a staggering number of downloads, reportedly topping 2 million; the song currently sits at #45 on the iTunes Top Singles chart. According to 101 Distribution, an independent music distributor, iTunes pays out $.70 per single download in the United States. That’s a much juicier check for Black and Ark Music Factory; even if the numbers are exaggerated, the intake from “Friday” could easily top $US1 million. What’s more, Black is planning to release an acoustic version of the song to disprove speculation that her voice is reliant on AutoTune. Cha-ching!
Even though you’re getting a lot of dislikes and nasty comments from the cyber space, it’s still cool to be a millionaire at the age of 13.
