Twitter Adds New Security Setting

Twitter users can now have more secure and protected accounts.
With Twitter’s new security setting, users of the micro-blogging site can now shield their account information from hackers.
Twitter recently added HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure), a security setting that will help users lessen the chance for somebody to access their account information, like on an open Wi-Fi network.
To activate the setting, users must go to the ‘Settings’ option and select “Always use HTTPS”. This will allow them to be logged into Twitter through HTTPS rather than the usual HTTP system.
However, this setting will not be automatically available to Twitter’s mobile website yet. The company notes that to activate this setting via mobile phone connection, users must log into https://mobile.twitter.com rather than http://mobile.twitter.com.
