Google’s Gmail Motion Joke Becomes a Reality

Jokes can be promising at times. So promising that the members of ICT MxR Lab ride on with Google's Gmail Motion joke, and made gestured-based e-mail handling of their own.
Google’s April Fools joke, Gmail Motion, seems to become more of a reality than a bluff today. The ICT MxR Lab members of the University of Southern California made their own gesture-based system for handling e-mails. Their system uses Microsoft Kinect’s motion-sensing technology in order to send and receive e-mail.
USC’s cool project was dubbed as FAAST or Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit. Check out the videos below to see how FAAST works, along with the original Gmail Motion joke from Google.
