Leak: System Specs for Nintendo’s Project Cafe

After Nintendo confirms that Project Cafe will be the Wii's successor, an anonymous source leaks the upcoming console's system specs.

An anonymous source close to Nintendo leaked the possible for the Wii’s successor – Project Cafe. According to the source, the Project Cafe will be built around the AMD R700 GPU architecture, and that the console’s graphical power will outperform PS3’s NVIDIA 7800GTX-based processor.

The Project Cafe will output at 1080p with stereoscopic 3D. The CPU is said to be a custom-made triple core IBM PowerPC chipset, with faster clock speed compare to Xbox 360. In addition to this, will manufacture the console, although the company has yet to comment on that. Project Cafe’s size will roughly be akin to Xbox 360, and may be designed similarly to classic NES.

Nintendo’s Project Cafe is said to carry a price tag between $350 (£212) and $400 (£242).
