‘Viddy’: An Instagram for Video
How would you like to bring Instagram captures to life?
Say hello to “Viddy” a fun and user-friendly video-editing app, perfect for those who’d like to “turn raw footage into beautiful creations to share with friends.”
Viddy features simple, single-button editing tools that will help its users to enhance raw videos clips with effects, filters, transitions, audio tracks, geotags, titles and more.
In an interview with Huffington Post, Viddy co-founder Brett O’Brien compared the app to the popular photo-sharing app Instagram, but with one exclusive distinction: “We’re bringing Instagram to life,” he said.
Aside from being a cool video-editing app, where Viddy users (aka “Viddyographers”) can create professional-looking videos, Viddy is also a sharing tool that allows its users to upload and share their works of art within the service’s network.
The user uploads a finished video, which can run up to 15 seconds long, to his Viddy profile. Furthermore, Viddyographers can send their posts to their other social accounts on Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube.
“There’s lots of ways you can post raw video from a cellphone. And there are a few other companies making sharing easier. But we’re trying to make videos worth sharing,” O’Brien added.
To learn about the service, visit Viddy.co. Viddy can be downloaded via App Store, and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.1 or later. Separate releases for Android handsets and tablets will be available soon. What’s even better about it is it’s free.View Article Source »
