RIM announces BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 (aka Bold Touch), the company’s “thinnest and most powerful BlackBerry smartphones yet.”

The brand new and 9930 are 1.2GHz smartphones, running on OS 7 ( OS 6.1) and feature a touchscreen interface. The new phones also boasts NFC connectivity for smart tags, as well as Augmented Reality features that use a compass and GPS to assess the phone’s position in space.

In addition to the smartphones’ new features is a new product called Balance, that allows remote wiping and full app control — preventing users from moving  text from an email to a web-app for instance. According to , it separates “personal content from corporate content.”

Meanwhile, the smartphones’ video camera support up to 720p HD video recording and playback. Users can choose to share their videos directly from the smartphone or sync videos, music and photos to their PCs using Media Sync in the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Both smartphone models, measuring only only 10.5mm, have exteriors with brushed stainless steel frames and high-gloss, glass-weave backplates. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 will be released this summer.
