Microsoft’s Bing Partners with RIM

Looks like RIM is ditching Google for Microsoft’s Bing.

CEO, , confirmed during the Research In Motion’s () World conference in Florida that has partnered with the computier giant. Since yesterday, Microsoft’s will be the default search and map application for BlackBerry smartphones.

Bing’s search and mapping technology will include location-based services. Furthermore, the Bing-Blackberry partnership will also include voice search and Street View-esque , all to be integrated at an OS level.

According to Mashable, the continuing impact of a Microsoft/RIM deal for search might be minimal, but this partnership may also lead to more collaboration points between the two companies in the future.
