Apple, to Assemble iPhone 5 ‘in mid to Late August’

Katy Huberty of Morgan Stanley reports that "Apple’s next iPhone will begin production in mid to late August and ramp aggressively."

analyst, , issued a note to clients last Sunday, stating that ’s next iPhone will start production in mid to late August. In addition to this, low-priced iPhones and Smart TVs may be in the works. Based on the analyst, the Cupertino-based company is forecasting a large iPhone unit increase in 2012. This move is said to help make gains in the emerging prepaid mobile market. Katy Huberty continued:

“We also believe Apple is in the early design stages for a TV, which could add $19 billion and $4.50 of annual revenue and EPS longer-term.”

In relation to this, there were unverified reports earlier this week which leaked Apple’s plans for -powered connected TVs. The Morgan Stanley also deems an up push on iPad shipments, as the post-Japan earthquake constraints cease. Katy Huberty also added that improved component supply has led the big fruit to negotiate price cuts with some of its suppliers.
