NASA prepares the space shuttle before its official launch.

Shuttle managers are making sure the Atlantis will be ready before it leaves planet Earth on July 8. NASA fueled the space shuttle to be sure there will be no cracks and leaks on its tank. The Atlantis will bring two iPhone 4s on board to test an app in outer space.

Half-million gallons of cold fuel were pumped into the Atlantis. The task that should only take three hours was delayed due to the thunderstorms that disturbed Cape Canaveral last Tuesday. Power circuit went offline and there were lighting strikes around the pad. NASA used patches to cover up these minimal damages on the Atlantis.
