A group of researchers had done an experiment that will create a particles of light on a vacuum space where eve light doesn't exist.

In what may be a milestone experimental proof of , a team of researchers or scientist from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden is claiming to have created a sparks in a vacuüm.

Based on the quantum theory, void or empty space is not empty at all. Instead it is full of virtual particles that quickly blip in and out of existence. Theory states that a mirror can take in energy from some of these virtual photons, and release it as actual photons. Yet, this only works if the mirror is travelling into the vacuüm space having the speed of . Making this statement really hard to prove.

Per Delsing, a physicist along with his team worked around this by applying something called a superconducting quantum interference device also known as SQUID. This device, the SQUID, which is very delicate to magnetic fields, appear to be as a mirror in the researchers’ superconducting circuit. They passed a magnetic field through the SQUID, changing the field’s direction a few billion times per second, which caused the SQUID to budge back and forth at about 5 percent of the speed of light. Microwave photons were then detected. Accordant to the theory, the frequency of the released photons was about half the frequency of the mirror’s twitch.

The researchers aren’t talking about their conclusion before their work has been peer reviewed, yet they will be demonstrating it at a workshop next week in Italy
