As part of their partnership with Chinese Internet giant Tencent, Zynga will be launching a localized Chinese beta version of CityVille - the Zynga City.

is not accessible in China, thus, is not as well capable of launching such social games in the area. However, the developer announced recently that they signed a partnership with – an Internet company in China – in order to produce the version of the popular which will be named as “.”

According to Zynga, this partnership is indeed vital for them, as they are aiming to enter new markets and broaden the numbers of their partner companies. The largest social games developer on Facebook first invaded the markets of China by attaining the XPD Media, another game developer, way back in May 2010. Perhaps that is the time when Zynga begins to grow and produced new social games in some Asian countries, such as Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Zynga City will be running on Tencent’s Open Platform as a beta version only, but it is expected that it will eventually be launched on other Tencent platforms. Zynga City will mimic most of the details of CityVille — the most popular game application on Facebook. Players can still build up their own city by adding houses, buildings, and businesses. They could use special decors and architectures, and can even send street peddlers to other cities. However, the version will somehow be localized so it could suit the Chinese audience.

Meanwhile, Zynga signed a deal before asking them to use the game titles from Facebook. And for your information, CityVille is not listed as one of them so it’s not yet clear if the developer broke the deal, since they used another name for the game and even changed some of its elements.

As of now, there are still no announcements if whether other , such as or , will also operate on the Tencent platform.
