BestBuy started selling their remaining TouchPad stocks last Sunday.

In the wake of ’s decision to shutter its division, ending all hardware development and production, BestBuy has reconsidered its position in selling the . Instead of returning unsold ToucPads to HP, BestBuy decided to sell all the remaining units in their hands.

While not all stores have stock, those that do only have them in limited numbers. It is also expected that it will quickly sell out of any remaining stocks on hand. BestBuy stores which have units of the said device in stock will be selling the 16GB Wi-Fi only model for $100, while the 32GB Wi-Fi model will be sold for $150. The stocks of the said device are limited to one unit per customer, while all the sales will be final with no exchange or refunds offered for any reason.

The expected rush for the remaining units represents an interesting scenario for HP. Questions are likely to be asked as to whether it exited the market too soon – given the renewed interest in the product – regardless of support for it being severed beyond its 12 month warranty.
