FCC revealed Motorola's new Droid Bionic on weekend, along with some information about the said device.

The new from was shown in the newly published filing. The user manual displays a “global phone” section, claiming that the 2.3 device has a GSM hardware for world roaming. If this certain information is true, then it will be ’s first LTE-based phone usable with voice outside of the US.

The filing also confirmed that the new Bionic is the Targa itself. Motorola always says that the new Bionic is a modification of the original, but it’s now known to virtually start from scratch just a few weeks ago after its first design was displayed at CES. Motorola has officially acknowledge that LTE-capable hardware issues were the reason for the delay.

A chance was seen that the pre-release manual is using boilerplate copy and that the Droid Bionic won’t have any GSM. Motorola’s specs did not mention anything about this so far.

The said device, which is a 4.3-inch, dual-core smartphone is set to arrive in September. Verizon’s tendency to charge a premium for 4G phones could push the Bionic up to $250 or more on contract.
