How to Groom Your Pet Cat

your pet is easier than several people think. That’s because cats are extremely fastidious by nature. owners might always see their adorable pet washing herself several times a day. In fact, cats can almost take care of themselves very well. However, there are times that she needs help from her owner.

As you groom your pet cat, the session must be fun and enjoyable for both of you. So try to set this kind of activities once your cat is in good mood and relaxing — maybe after an exercise or after having a meal. As for the owner, you must also be in good mood and never risk to lose your temper during the session so that your pet can enjoy your grooming. Try to keep the first session short. Perhaps 5-10 minutes would be enough. Lengthen the time of eventually lengthen your grooming time until your pet gets used to it.

Owners must also remember that cats do not like baths, that means you should have a little more patience as you take your feline into her shower. You can seek help from another person if you’re having a hard time to clean them. Use a mild shampoo that is safe for them and follow these steps:

1. To start the , give your feline pet a good brushing to remove all dead hair and mats.

2. Put a rubber bath mat in a sink to secure footing.

3. Put your pet inside the sink or tub that have a 3 to 4 inches of warm water.

4. Get a spray hose, large plastic pitcher or plastic cup and use it to wet your pet’s body. But be sure that not to spray or pour water directly to their ears, eyes or nose.

5. Gently massage the shampoo from her head to tail.

6. Rinse her well, but be sure to avoid her ears, eyes and nose.

7. Dry them using a large towel.

8. After the session, don’t forget to give them treats as a reward.

Aside from taking a bath, it is also important to take care of your pet’s hair. Regular sessions of brushing your cat’s hair using a brush or comb will keep her hair in good condition. That’s because regular brushing will remove dirt, spread natural oils to her whole coat, prevent tangles and keeps her skin clean and irritant free. If your pet cat has a short hair, you’ll just have to brush it once a week, but if it have a long hair, you’ll need to do this everyday.
