Motorola Droid Bionic, Tagged at $300 on its Launch

Motorola's droid Bionic is said to be released on September 8, and it might cost $300.
Verizon might give the Motorola Droid Bionic a very expensive asking price when they ship the handset in. A leaked internal note has the least advertised price at $300 on contract, or as much as the Droid Charge. Android Central’s copy also penned in a September 8 release date.
The said pricing ties it for the most expensive Verizon’s phone and could put it out of contention versus the iPhone 5, which is expected to be released a few weeks later. Apple might start off the iPhone 5 with a price tag of $199. Motorola, like others, may need to charge a premium for first generation LTE hardware. How much of that pricing in Verizon’s versus Motorola’s is still unclear.
The remade Droid Bionic will be Verizon’s first dual-core 4G phone and, in a break from the pack, will use a TI OMAP processor instead of the usual Tegra 2. It also have a 4.3 inch 540×960 screen that might make it one of the visually richer models. It will also be on par in cameras with 8 megapixels at the back and at least a VGA resolution camera at the front.
