PlayStation Vita's release date has been delayed beyond Christmas of 2011, and will be pushed early 2012 in the United States and Europe.

Attendants of the previously held E3 conference was surprised the moment announced their planned $250 pricing for the forthcoming Wi-fi PlayStation Portable . Perhaps the press is expecting a much lower cost since the anticipated gaming console was unable to adopt the 3DS. However, the manufacturer revealed a more shocking news that are sure to disappoint those who are living in US and Europe.

According to a report, Sony Corp. Executive Deputy President – – confirmed that they are not releasing the gaming console this year for the US and Europe countries. He didn’t even give any specific dates for the Japan launch.

The deputy president didn’t characterize this problem as a “delay”. Instead, they just wanted to make sure that the device has a huge array of games when it launches.

Aside from that, Kazuo Hirai also pointed out that the 3DS’s lowered price will never be a factor for changing their strategy for the PSP successor. “We packed so much into the device and made it very affordable,” he explained. “There is no need to lower the price just because somebody else that happens to be in the video game business decided that they were going to lower their price.”

Although coming up with such delays, the is still considered to be one of the most anticipated video gaming consoles to date — knowing that it has powerful play styles, advanced titles, and reasonable pricing.
