Apple’s Tim Cook: To Reveal iPhone 5 on October 4

The rumor mill is continuously churning, as another report claimed that Tim Cook will reveal the next-gen iPhone on October 4.
According to an insider from AllThingsD, Apple will unveil the iPhone 5 on October 4. The show will be led by Tim Cook, together with Phillip W. Schiller (SVP for Worldwide Product Marketing), Scott Forstall (SVP for iOS Software), and Eddie Cue (SVP for Internet Software and Services.)
However, the devices that will be unveiled on October 4 remains a mystery. New iPods are seem likely to be announced, while others also expects an iPad 3 announcement. But ultimately, many are getting giddy on whether Apple will announce the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S or both. The iOS 5 is also expected to be officially released on the said date, as it’s already nearing its Gold Master version.
If the October 4 turns out to be true, that would mean an almost immediate release of the next-gen iPhone on October 15. But keep in mind that none of these has been officially confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt.
