Blondie Partnering With Amazon for Their New Album

New York city band, Blondie, made an exclusive partnership with Amazon for their ninth album -- Panic of Girls.

The New York city band, , will be releasing their new album entitled on September 13 through . This will be the ninth studio album of the said band.

and , the singer and guitarist of Blondie, founded the band in 1974. It has become one of the most commercially successful bands to emerge from the New York punk and new wave scenes. They sold over 40 million records worldwide, and became one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer in 2006.

Blondie wasn’t the first major act that will have an exclusive partnership with a large retailer for a wide scale release. Rap artists, Jay-Z and Kanye West, recently had a partnership with Best Buy; giving the said retailer the exclusive rights to sell the CD version of Watch the Throne for the first two weeks it was available. On the other hand, Blondie’s Amazon partnership ensures that people will have to order Panic of Girls online.
