An electronic store in Vietnam put up a 15-foor Christmas tree from 2500 old cellular phones.

The store which created the Christmas tree is the Westcom Electronics in the city of My Tho. Its manager, Nguyen Trai, said that 10 workers devoted two weeks to build the tree and he hopes that this tree will communicate the message about being responsible in disposing tech waste.

The cellular Christmas tree has been put on view outside the store for two weeks and about 700 to 800 people came by to take pictures with the tree.

Cellphones are becoming popular in these days and many young people flaunt their hi-tech gadgets to indicate that the country’s wealth is increasing.
