MySpace TV: Social Networking Jives with Television
MySpace define the future of Web TV.
The site has already released teasers for their new offerings. The move to collaborate television stream content to web-enabled devices will be launched in Spring. “MySpace TV gives you more information about your favorite shows, videos and artists, and provides you real-time engagement with your friends to get you closer to the shows you love,” the site explains.
The announcement about MySpace TV was made at CES by CEO Tim Vanderhook and co-owner Justin Timberlake. ”Our belief was that we could enhance the TV experience by increasing viewers’ ability to connect to both content and each other,” Vanderhook mentioned in the press release. On the other hand, Timberlake was quoted saying, “We’re ready to take television and entertainment to the next step by upgrading it to the social networking experience.”
MySpace TV is collaborating with Panasonic to expand their latest offering of music videos and songs to include “movies, news, sports and reality channels, with a growing lineup of today’s most popular broadcast and on-demand content.”View Article Source »
