Rare Star Wars Poster Valued at $8000
Star Wars 1978 promotional poster is expected to fetch between $5,000 and $8,000 at auction
Collector’s item from the original Star Wars trilogy can earn a lot of money from auctions. Items like toys, movie costume and even props from the movie set are the usual items that are up for sale. However rare items like a Star Wars poster can fetch a greater amount compared to the usual collectibles.
A 1978 promotional poster designed by John Alvin, was created to promote the Star Wars Symphonic Suite by composer John Williams. The poster was never actually used, even for a Star Wars events or sold to the public, that’s why it is considered rare.
The poster shows C-3PO and R2-D2 carrying a number of musical instruments, they look funny but the poster is very valuable. It even has a signature from George Lucas. It is expected to rake in between $5,000 and $8,000 at auction.
The rare Star Wars poster will be sold in an auction at the Heritage Vintage Movie Posters Signature Auction in Beveraly Hills, this July 26. It will not come as a surprise if it ends up selling for a 5-figure sum.View Article Source »
