Bag Purifies Water Using Sunlight
Solar handbag uses the sun’s UV-A radiation to purify water
Purifying water is now easy and cost-effective, thanks to the creators of the Solar bag, Ryan Lynch and Marcus Tries. They have created a prototype Solar Bag that is a handbag that makes use of UV rays to make clean drinkable H2O.
The bag is made of high-clarity polyethylene and black polyethylene. It can purify up to 2.5 gallons (9.4 liters) of water in six hours of sunlight. Unlike other solar devices that needs to be left under the sun, the bag can purify water while the wearer is moving.
The cost of each bag is estimated at just $5. Since it is cheap, villagers living in remote areas are able to implement water purification, where clean water is scarce.View Article Source »
