Porsche Design Tower is a 57-story luxury tower that will have 132 units and 284 robotic parking spaces
A luxury condominium with a grand elevator will be built in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The condominium complex, Porsche Design Tower is a collaboration between Porsche Design Group and local developer Gil Dezer. It is a 57-story luxury tower that is set to have 132 units, 284 robotic parking spaces and 3 elevators.
The posh condo’s selling feature is its glass elevators that is unlike any other. Its unique car elevator allows residents to sit inside their cars while it goes up to their respective apartments. The elevator features robotic arms that carry the car.
All the car owner has to do is park the car, turn off the car engine and the robotic arms will scoop it inside the elevator. The car owner can enjoy the ocean view as it moves up their apartments in 45-90 seconds. Once it reaches the designated floor, the same robotic arm will park the car and park the car near the resident’s front door. Residents are able to see their cars from their living rooms.
Gil Dezer, President of Dezer Properties talks about the high tech car elevator:
“What this is really doing is taking two technologies that have existed for centuries and putting them together. It’s taking the robotic arm and it’s putting it in an elevator.”
