The ‘Tinker Tablet’ aims to teach children about electronics

, a Seattle-based company aims to teach kids, aged 3 and up,  to learn about technology with a basic wooden toy.

Their first ever product, the “” looks like the inside of a wooden slate. Its front is composed of puzzle pieces that slides off. It features the components of gadgets, like battery and CPU. It lets kids learn to be creative without using lights and sounds.

The puzzle pieces allow kids to form a cell phone. It also features a magnetic dry-erase “touch” screen on the front panel that allows kids to draw and express themselves.

This low- toy made a debut via Kickstarter last August and is currently in need of funding.
