World’s Most Powerful Electric Car Unveiled

Mercedes-Benz has launched the new SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive car, costs $540,000.

The most powerful electric car in the world was recently unveiled to the public by European car maker, Mercedes-Benz, at the Paris Motor Show. The “elecric blue” SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive, looks sleek and expensive.

This amazing battery-powered car can produce a combined maximum output of 552 kW and maximum torque of 1000 Nm, with its four synchronous electric motors. Its  400 volt battery can travel up to the range of 155 miles and only takes three hours to recharge. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and can travel as fast as 155mph, at its top speed.

The Mercedes-BENZ SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive costs $540,000. It is now available for pre-order. Its initial delivery will start next year, July 2013.
