Twisting Skyscraper, A Sight To See in Canada

The "Absolute Towers" is a gradually rotating skyscrapers that was designed by Chinese firm, MAD Architects.

A new landmark has given life to Ontario, Canada’s urban landscape. The “Absolute Towers” has already been completed and it is a sight to behold.

Nicknamed the “Marilyn Monroe towers”, this towering building is not your regular skyscraper. It twists and is known for its curves. The twin structure has a gradually rotating oval floors. Each towers measure at around 492 and 557 feet.

It was designed by China’s design firm, MAD Architects.

“Despite its landmark status, the emphasis is not solely on height. Our design features a continuous balcony that surrounds the whole building, eliminating the vertical barriers traditionally used in high rise architecture. The entire building rotates by different degrees at different levels, corresponding with the surrounding scenery. Our aim is to provide 360 degree views for each residential unit, and to get city dwellers in touch with the natural elements and reawaken their appreciation of nature.”

The "Water Lock" device allows users to monitor water consumption

A new device has been designed to help people conserve water. It is called the “Water Lock”. It is a mechanism that monitors the flow of water.

The pad-lock style device does not require electricity for it to work. It can be easily attached to any faucet. Users can set their water limit on the mechanism. Once the limit has been set, the device will automatically stop the water flow once the level has been reached.

The designers of this concept have not announced when this creation will be officially launched.

Pepsi is set to launch a special cola in Japan. Their new soda, called “Pepsi Special”, is perfect for health conscious individuals. It contains an ingredient that prevents people from getting fat.

The special ingredient is Dextrin, a fiber molecule, that prevents the digestive system from absorbing fat. It is a Japanese government approved ingredient as a “food for specific health use.”

“Pepsi Special” is set to be sold in Japan on November 13th for for ¥150 ($1.87).
