Facebook Status Update Increases to 63,206 Characters

Facebook Status Update Now Up To 63,206 Characters
Facebook has now taken a bold move to increase the character limit on status updates from 5,000 to 63,206. This is good news to budding novelists out there, who do not need to post multiple updates to reach a typical novel length of 500,000 characters.
Facebook’s Journalist Program Manager, Vadim Lavrusik made an announcement through a blog post:
“In September, we increased the character limit on status updates to 5,000 characters. Today, we’re announcing that you can now write posts with more than 60,000 characters.”
This may be too long for some, but according to the website, ZDNet, its competitor, Google+, still rules when it comes to character limits, because they allow up to 100,000 characters for their updates.
