No need to drop by the bookstore to get the bestsellers for Christmas presents. Amazon.com rolls out its eBook Gifting accessible through Kindle.

Amazon launched a great way to avoid the awkwardness brought about by gift cards and donations made to charities which bear the sender’s name. The online merchant introduces the eBook gifting.

The Amazon device, Kindle, will provide “Give as a Gift” link to e-books which can be sent as presents. Recipients will receive e-mail confirming that a gift was received. The e-book can be read on any device which supports the Kindle software. But the recipient needs to download first the software.

This strategy made by Amazon is very convenient for those who do not have enough time to do their holiday shopping. When e-books are remained unopened, recipients can be exchanged for Amazon.com gift cards.
